I just wanted to thank you for the great show you put on for us on Saturday. The group may have been small, but the feeling was intimate and cozy, and we all definitely had a good time. About an hour after the show, I even had a mom call me and tell me how much fun she and her kids had. It was great working with the both of you, and maybe we'll be able to do it again soon! - Elizabeth Buono, Children's Librarian

This seasonal non-religious, participatory concert features a combination of songs and stories, with themes of kindness, generosity, sharing, and peace. Some of the songs are funny, and others are more serious.

Jay presents this show with his friend, John Hughes. John plays a West African instrument, called the 'Kora' which he built himself, combining traditional and contemporary techniques.

Our material, both original and collected, comes from a positive, ethical perspective, and encourages an attitude of kindness and generosity towards ourselves and each other, what we consider to be the true holiday spirit.

The song 'Hibernatin' celebrates the changing of the seasons, and through our title song, 'The 12 Days of Recess', we poke gentle fun at over-consumption, and the commercialization of the holidays.

Most of all though, we focus on having a great time being with you and the children. Happy Holidays!
