A hard hitting (though often humorous) interactive multimedia program for a small committee, large community forum, or something in between.
Most schools across the country are serving up fatty, greasy, sugary, artificial, and chemical laden food - plenty of ingredients, but most with little or no nutritional benefits.
There are some schools however, that have adopted a more enlightened approach, with wholesome, healthy, plant-based, and good tasting food. Not only is the food improving at these schools, but the learning that goes with it - in several ways:
Improving school food improves attention, behavior, energy and health.
Integrating food, curriculum, and community involvement, children learn about sustainability cycles. Where does food come from, what are the costs (including the hidden costs) of food, what is the relationship between food and the rest of the 'environment', etc...
Jay draws on organizational resources and his own experiences, in presenting this workshop. Expect to be inspired!
