In this dynamic concert, kids interact through singing along, guessing along (filling in the blanks), and even making silly sounds and hand movements (at appropriate times, of course!)
The CD, pictured on the right is a rocking, funky, danceable collection of quirky kids songs about healthy food and sustainable living. They promote fruits, vegetables, grains, beans, and seeds - plant based foods from our farms and gardens.
Audio CDs are sent before the show, so that the kids can learn the songs – this makes a huge difference in participation, comprehension, and retention of the concepts. We also send teacher’s guides and resource sheets, as well as posters, photos, and press releases to help with publicity.
(These songs were originally commissioned by the NY Coalition for Healthy School Food (NYCHSF), who asked Jay to write these songs and perform them for a pilot project in New York City Schools in conjunction with the NYC Board of Education, Department of School Foods.
