The Day The School Went Wild is a participatory assembly concert, also known as:
‘Wild’ Songs & ‘Natural’ Stories.
This is the same show as The Day The Library Went Wild". Substitute the word ‘School’ for ‘Library’, ‘Town’, or ‘Camp’, and it's the same show each time, just in a different place.
The show has has an ecological focus; rainforests, recycling, dolphins, hibernating, frogs, snakes, mountains, lakes, and the ‘wild’ human being in all of us. It can easily stand alone as an assembly concert, or be integrated into a ‘wild’ day of interactive activities at the school.
Kids sing along, guess along, and use hand and body movements to stay engaged. The show is tailored for different age levels, and is just as appropriate for 5th and 6th graders is it is for 1st and 2nd!
We send teachers’ guides, CDs, and lyric sheets, so kids can learn the songs in advance, and we also send posters, photos, and a sample press release.
Outdoor, hands-on, alternative energy demonstrations with Jay’s vegetable oil-powered van. The ‘Veggie Voyager’ go very well before or after the show.
As with all our shows, we provide a beautiful backdrop to set the scene,
as well as our own powerful, state–of-the-art sound system.
This is Jay's longest running and most popular concert for children.
